An After School Club
The Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) by Yukon Wild School offers an outdoor learning experience for children at their school. This program is designed to cultivate a deep connection with nature through physical activity. Our mission is to create an enriching and holistic after-school environment that reflects some of the values of Yukon Wild School: respect for nature, physical activity and experiential learning.
We are currently offering programs at:
Holy Family Elementary School beginning November 4th, 2024.
&
Hidden Valley Elementary School beginning November 13th, 2024.
Both programs end on June 13, 2025.
Details:
- At HFES: daily from 3:25-5:00 PM
- At HVES: daily from 3:09-5:00 PM
- Choose from either
- 5-Days/week
- 3-Days/week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
- 2-Days/week (Tuesday/Thursday)
- HFES $20/day
- HVES $25/day
- You can pick up your child at any time
- A snack is included in the program
Program Staff
- All staff must have completed an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Staff have experience working with children in an outdoor setting and first aid training.
- Outdoor Adventure Club staff are passionate about the outdoors and enthusiastically share this passion with program participants.
- Staff are given risk management training, follow Yukon Wild School protocols, carry first aid kits, bear spray, radios, a cell phone, and parent contact information.
